RAVENNA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
2021 Bond Proposal
Ravenna Public Schools:
Planted in promise; growing in pride.
November 2, 2021!
Dear Ravenna Community:
On November 2, 2021, our community will vote on a bond proposal authorizing the school district to issue $5.3 million of bonds to allow the district to make improvements to our facilities. The majority of work will occur at Beechnau Elementary to benefit our youngest learners.
You may recall, in May 2021, the community approved a proposal focused on upgrades to our high school and updating essential utilities around the district. The proposal totaled $10.89 million can be levied with no tax increase.
This proposal would also make updates to some of our arts and athletic spaces, along with roof replacements at some of our buildings. It estimated that the millage levied for the payment of the second bond will increase property taxes by .9 mills. For the average homeowner, this increase will equate to the cost of a Wesco Slushie and Popcorn! Take a look around the site and please contact us if you have any questions. I'm available to talk with community members by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or on the phone at (231) 853-2231.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to vote on November 2, 2021!
